Diversion
Metics products are only sold by salon professionals, salons, spas and beauty suppliers. If you are purchasing Metics products outside of these authorized retailers, there is a high probability that you are purchasing expired, stolen, counterfeit or contaminated products.
Metics will never distribute product online directly to the consumer. This includes discount online websites, drug stores, big box retail outlets. This is to protect the integrity of the product and our authorized retailers.
What is diversion?
Diverted products are any products that are purchased by an unauthorized retailer from an authorized Metics retailer, ie, salon, spa, beauty supplier for retail. Examples of this practice include:
- Selling bulk quantity to someone who has the intention of reselling the product without being an authorized retailer
- Online auction houses selling counterfeit product
- A non-licensed individual reselling products
Steps Metics has taken to prevent diversion practices:
- Tracking system that marks all products. This will allow us to track the source of any diverted products.
- Large or unusual orders will be flagged and placed on hold for further investigation
- Metics will close any accounts found to be participating in diversion, large or small
